Close to Everything, Miles from Ordinary: Why Kent Island Is the Ultimate Waterfront Address

Quite often I get out of town waterfront buyers looking to move to (or purchase a vacation home) on the Eastern Shore but they aren't sure what area to be in... With some many amazing town choices--each offereing their own flavor--it's easy to understand why it is hard to fing the right place. But, when you loook at the big picture (the map) it's easy to see that the Kent Island area is your best choice.

A few years back I had clients from Philadelphia looking for a vacation home for their family and I showed them houses all over the shore, trying to hone in on the right spot. We went from Rock Hall to Chestertown, St Michaels, Oxfornd, Queenstown and Kent Island and everything in between. We toured some incredible properites but with a fmaily on the go, wanting to make the most of their time on the shore, Kent Island was the clear winner.

I showed them a map of the area and drew a circle roughly around the area that would be approximatelywithin 1 hour of Kent Island. The saw the forest through the trees. It was crystal clear.

When you land on Kent Island, you can easily day trip to so many awesome towns... all within about an hour:

• Rock Hall

• Chestertown

• St Michaels

• Oxford

• Tilghman Island

• Easton

• Cambridge

• Washington, DC

• Baltimore City
